MedusaThe raft shrinks, knock the others overboard
The Raft of the Medusa, comic-book style: five castaways (robots fill in), each on a piece of the raft. Every turn the outermost piece breaks off and whoever stands on it falls overboard. Each turn, everyone secretly chooses: pick up a plank, hit someone with it (they fall overboard and lose one of 3 lives, the plank breaks, and you take their place), or hold on (nobody can knock you off, but not two turns running). Fallen with lives left, you climb back next turn onto the outermost free piece, empty-handed. With none, you are swept away. The last one standing wins.
Play MedusaControls
- On a phone: Each turn, tap your choice: 🪵 pick up a plank, 💥 hit (with a plank in hand, then the victim's name, or tap them on the raft), ✊ hold on.
- On a computer: Click the buttons, or keys 1 (plank), 2 (hit), 3 (hold on). You can change your mind until the 10 seconds are up.
Tip
The piece about to give way flashes red: if you are on it, hit someone nearer the middle to take their place. Those climbing back from the sea take the edge places. Nobody can hold on two turns running.
How to play with friends
